This course provides a comprehensive and up-to-date understanding of the ISO's Environmental Management Systems (EMS) standards. The 14000 family relies on the same principles as ISO 9001 (Quality Management standards).
In doing so, it gives you practical tools for managing environmental responsibilities. ISO 14001 provides a framework for identifying, monitoring, and managing common issues, including air pollution, soil contamination, water and sewage, waste management, resource use and efficiency, climate change, and more.
In this course, you'll learn the ISO standards for EMS, become familiar with the Annexure SL framework, and understand the Plan-Do-Check-Act Cycle. We'll teach you auditing principles and techniques. By your final exam, you'll understand the entire process of conducting an audit, from opening meetings to final reporting.
You'll also learn your responsibilities as an auditor and your role in helping your organization achieve progress towards sustainable development.
ISO 14001:2015 is the most up-to-date version of ISO's EMS standards.
This course is designed to qualify you as "Lead Auditor" in an ISO 14001-based Environmental Management System. It equips you to perform both internal and external/third-party audits.
It may also be useful to EMS-adjacent managers and consultants who want an in-depth understanding of the process.
